EGEC, founded in 1998 and based in Brussels, represents over 200 members across 30 countries in the geothermal sector. It promotes geothermal energy by advocating to policymakers, improving market conditions, and sharing knowledge through publications and events. EGEC raises awareness and supports the deployment of geothermal heating, cooling, and electricity in Europe.
EGEC leads WP1 (management), coordinates project activities, and engages its European network to support partners. It contributes expertise on heat pumps and ensures wide dissemination of results across Europe through its members and international contacts.
EHPA, founded in 2000, represents over 210 members across Europe, including manufacturers, research institutes, universities, laboratories, utilities, and national associations. It promotes awareness and proper deployment of heat pump technologies in residential, commercial, and industrial markets, supports information exchange, and works to overcome barriers to accelerate the uptake of heat pumps for heating, cooling, and hot water across Europe.
In the project, EHPA is responsible for leading the communication and dissemination of the main activities and results. Thanks to its extensive network of industrial heat pump manufacturers, EHPA is also actively involved in stakeholder engagement, contributing to the establishment of the project’s working groups and to the organisation of relevant events that connect end users with technology providers.
Turboden, a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries group company, is an Italian firm and a global leader in the design, manufacture and maintenance of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems, highly suitable for distributed generation. ORC systems can generate electric and thermal power exploiting multiple sources, such as renewables (biomass, geothermal energy, solar energy), traditional fuels and waste heat from industrial processes, waste incinerators, engines or gas turbines.
The main role of Turboden in HP4INDUSTRY is leading the WP2 “Profiling Heating&Cooling supply and description of HP technology and definition of business models and best practices. Turboden will also contibute to policy recommendations, validation of the solution and communication.
